Supported Employment for Individuals Receiving Services
Through job matching, businesses are paired with an individual
that demonstrates the willingness to become a productive employee.
Program Specific Admission Criteria
Individuals are referred from the Illinois Department of Human
Services, Department of Rehabilitation Services (DRS). Upon
acceptance into the Pathway Services Unlimited Supported Employment
Program (SEP), the individual will be assigned a Job Coach/Employment Specialist.
The Job Coach/Employment Specialist staff will:
Assist the individual, if needed, in obtaining employment.
Help the individual become acquainted with his/her work environment.
Develop a Job Task Analysis to assist the individual in tracking his/her progress at the job.
Assist the individual with any problems that may arise during employment.
Provide job training support at the job location until the individual has acquired the necessary job skills to afford the “natural support” from the individuals employer.
