Job Summary

Oversees daily operations, staff assignments, service provision, quality of care, transportation, and engagement of individuals attending Community Day Services (CDS). Works in cooperation with other CDS management team members. Is supervised and evaluated by the Program Services Director.

Qualifications and Skills

Must have verifiable documentation of education. High school diploma or equivalency. Must meet the requirements of Direct Support Person (DSP). One or more years’ experience programming for individuals who have intellectual and developmental disabilities and other physical and mental challenges preferred. Must have valid driver’s license and insurable driving record. Prior supervisor experience required.

This is a professional position, which required good verbal and written communication skills. Successful completion of the Short Test of Functional Health Literacy in Adults (S-TOFHLA) test, testing ability to read.  Ability to prioritize responsibilities and adapt to the changing needs of the CDS Program is required.  Ability to interact and communicate with people supported by our Agency, employees, parents/guardians, State/Federal staff members, and other supervisory/management personnel. Able to appropriately utilize available computer programs and systems required. Knowledge of state regulations, Agency timekeeping system programs, Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA), Agency policies, CDS procedures highly valued.

Must be able to complete all physical requirements of the position with or without a reasonable accommodation. Successful completion of Essential Functioning Test verifying ability to lift at least seventy-five (75) pounds. May have flexible, varied schedule.
