Rate of Pay – $20.25 per hour

Basic function: Ensure maintenance of Agency facilities and property under the direction of the Facilities Manager.

Specific Responsibilities:

  1. Works in coordination with Maintenance Worker V.
  2. Provides on-site guidance and assistance to other maintenance personnel.
  3. Recommends possible changes in maintenance procedures to ensure cost-efficient and energy- efficient programs.
  4. Notifies Facilities Manager of needed equipment, material or supplies with adequate notice for securing.
  5. Keeps maintenance areas, equipment, and supplies neat, clean, and orderly.
  6. Maintains proper physical condition of Agency sites, including minor repair work, which includes, but is not limited to electrical, plumbing, and related areas within city and village codes, and in accordance with site leases.
  7. Attends to needed repairs and maintenance of Agency property including, but not limited to, desks, chairs, dishwashers, washers/dryers, hot water heaters, etc. Consults with Facilities Manager regarding costly repairs or replacement.
  8. Maintains warehouse area. Is responsible for making sure the bailer is empty and for ensuring bundling clothes and cardboard for recycling is taking place on a regular basis.
  9. Assists Facilities Manager with recycling shipments, both incoming and outgoing, and reports appropriate financial information to the Finance department.
  10. Constructs adaptive equipment in consultation with Facilities Manager/program staff.
  11. Provides for grounds maintenance including snow/ice removal and lawn care at Agency sites.
  12. Assists with moving office, household furnishings, and program equipment.
  13. Completes all annual training requirements.
  14. May be required to assist during emergency situations.
  15. Performs all other duties as assigned.

Minimum Education/Experience

Verifiable documentation of education. High school graduate or equivalency. One (1) or more years of maintenance experience or trade school certification or comparable demonstrated skill experience. Must have a valid driver’s license and insurable driving record. Experience with persons with developmental and intellectual disabilities and other physical and mental challenges preferred. Must be able to complete all physical requirements of the position with or without a reasonable accommodation.
